The Castlemaine Theatre Company selects a variety of plays for its repertoir. We tackle traditional, historical authors such as Moliere, and also contemporary works. Our most recent production was Aftershocks, a piece of verbatim theatre about the 1989 Newcastle earthquake.
We aim to produce one main production per year, and an additional work that can be of a smaller scale, or more experimental in nature. For our main productions we like to choose plays with a cast of at least 8, to give maximum opportunities for our members to get involved. We are interested in comedy, drama, traditional, modern and contemporary works.
