We are holding a Silent Disco Fun-Raiser at our Etty St Studio! Housed in an old school famous for its classic brutalist architecture and ol’ skool Harry Potter graffiti, the theme is SCHOOLS OUT! Relive the joys, or reinvent your ideal school uniform and school experience! Featuring

  • Crazy themed activities from special guests Castlemaine’s very own iconic silent disco collective D-TOUR
  • Special guest DJ playlists throughout the evening (see our socials for updates)
  • Super-snuggy chill out zone
  • Dirty Tuck Shop featuring the Chemistry teacher’s Midwinter Mull
  • School themed movies in the Principals Office
  • Photobooth

We are holding this special event in addition to our regular theatre-making activities because we want to give our home some extra love. President Kate Stones says “Etty Street has had such an amazing positive impact on our little company, having a place to finally call home has changed our lives! A huge thank you to Castlemaine Hot Rods for taking on the lease from MASC, and making this space available to community groups like CTC and Movement Zone. All the profit from SCHOOL’S OUT will go towards upkeep and improvements for Etty St.”

SCHOOL’S OUT is providing us with the opportunity to partner with other local organisations doing fabulous things in our community. Local silent disco tour operators D-Tour will be providing hilarious themed activities, which are included in the ticket price (valued at $20). Headphones will be hired from Neurokin, an organisation advocating for neurodiverse kids and their families. Castlemaine Central Wine Store will be catering for the bar – Owner Steve specialises in Central Victorian wineries.

Kate says “No less than three CTC committee members will be competing in Hot Moves No Pressure this year. And all of them are on different teams! SCHOOL’S OUT is the perfect opportunity to practice our moves. If you love HMNP come on down to SCHOOL’S OUT and bust yours!”
