The Castlemaine Theatre Company selects a variety of plays for its repertoir. We tackle traditional, historical authors such as Moliere, and also contemporary works. Our most recent production was Aftershocks, a piece of verbatim theatre  about the 1989 Newcastle earthquake.

We aim to produce one main production per year, and an additional work that can be of a smaller scale, or more experimental in nature. For our main productions we like to choose plays with a cast of at least 8, to give maximum opportunities for our members to get involved. We are interested in comedy, drama, traditional, modern and contemporary works.

We encourage ideas from new directors, so if you have a play that you think you would like to propose to the CTC, and are interested in directing it, please get in contact via the secretary on
